A Long Road to Travel

A Long Road to Travel

This life is terribly short in the span of eternity but there is still a very long road to travel. There will be many twists and turns on that road; sometimes we lose our way. Fortunately for us we have an internal navigation system that usually points us back in the right direction. It’s called our conscience. If we follow it, we’ll find our way. The time we lose traveling aimlessly not following our internal instinct or navigational system are lessons learned adding to our wisdom. We may travel this road of life at different speeds but we all have a final destination. How we travel this road will determine where our road will end. We have two choices, we can either be driving up to the Pearly Gates or travel the highway to hell. The choice is yours.

Black and White

Black and White

We live life in vivid color, high definition and wide screen. Every detail can be seen so brilliantly vibrant. It’s so clear that it almost seems touchable, testable. But then, there are the classic features of the black and white photo. Its detail can be seen, subtly. The black and white photo never comes off as gaudy or overly flamboyant. The clarity isn’t less it’s just different.

In life some things are just that, black and white. It’s clear what we could or should do but we pretend to not see it quite clearly. It has to be glowing bright for us to see it. We need that high definition instruction. No, it’s still plain black and white, right and wrong. You and I know what we should do, yet we profess not to have the solution. The answers are the same as they were yesterday because morals don’t change. That 14” black and white still has a clear enough picture for us all to see.

Christ… The Light

Christ... The Light

Even in the darkest of nights, light can be seen. The moon reflects rays radiating from the sun providing a beam of light through our dark nights. You make your way through the darkness to find more light shimmering from a lake illuminating the surrounding forest. In the darkest of nights there is still some light.

The world we live in can sometimes be an extremely dark place. There is much evil and wickedness in this foreign place but there is still light. No matter how dark it get’s, there is a source of light we can always draw from. The light comes in the form of the WORD of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prayer brings comfort. We are granted grace and are blessed because we believe. Christ, our benevolent creator… The Light.

Water… the earth’s life source. Love… our heart and soul’s life source.

Water... the earth's life source. Love... our heart and soul's life source.

Water… the earth’s life source. It hydrates every plant and animal while shaping and forming the earth’s surface. Erosion, flooding, rivers cutting though the land creates new life. Our bodies, just as our earth, are made up of mostly water. Every cell of every being needs water to live. Lack of water will bring the demise of any and every being on this planet.

Love is our heart and soul’s water. We as humans need to love and be loved.
A loveless life is no life at all. Some say they don’t need it but they privately live an empty existence. You can have all of the riches in the world but if you have no love in your life you are still poor for the loveless are impoverished. Don’t starve your heart and soul, provide them with the love they need and deserve. Love is our heart and soul’s water and life source. Fill up with love and live life abundantly.

Low Tide

Low Tide

Low tide. Waters recede out to sea uncovering more of the beach floor. Along with the water, animals, plant life and water insects are swept into the deeper waters away from the shore line. Back on the beach discoveries are made. New food sources, routes of travel for the non swimmers and materials to build nests and burrows are unveiled to the diligent and resourceful. Low tide.

In life we face low tides also. Times when we have less income and opportunities we would consider low tide. These are the times we need to draw on the resources available to us. There are things we need and can use on that beach floor. We’ll discover them once we stop morning the receding waters. Our positive mind and belief allows those things to become more visible to us. Times of low tide are about more than just survival; it’s about excelling. If you can succeed in times of low tide, when the high tide returns you will surely rise to the top.
