Flaunting your youth in the face of the mature last only for a season. We were all young once and naïve enough to think that we would never grow old. Remember when you thought thirty was old? What some of us wouldn’t give to be thirty again. Youth is truly wasted on the young. We all age everyday, kids become teens and teens become adults; none of us are forever young not even Rod Stewart or Jay-Z.
How obvious is the obvious? To you it may be quite clear because you view it as obvious. You’ve seen, smelled or heard it before. “That’s obviously….” You’re obvious may be quite strange or foreign to someone else. We don’t all share the same experiences or are exposed to the same situation and environment. So don’t scoff at them; because your obscure may be their obvious, and they’re scoffing at your ignorance too.
Depressed, feeling hopeless? Call on Jesus. Oh, you already know that. Well, then, why don’t you do it? We cry when we feel bad but then we don’t cry out to HIM. Watching you waddle in your misery makes Satan smile with a gleam in his eye, loving every moment of your pain. When in need of joy, go to the source. Christ, the greatest therapist and wisest counsel, restorer of the joy.
Doing dirt for dirt just doesn’t work. It’s been said that two wrongs don’t make a right and it’s true. In life two negatives can never equal a positive. When we attempt to match the ill intentions of others we’re just making the devil’s work more efficient. He wants us to destroy one another. Agents of Lucifer are always hiring; don’t work for them, pray for them instead. We know in our hearts what’s right, do what you do not what they do.
How long are you going to stand on the tracks with a freight train coming at you? Problems loom, the storm is brewing. Don’t just stand and wait for the inevitable doom. Address the problem, take shelter from the storm; get yourself off those tracks. Being proactive rather than reactive is much more productive. So I ask again, how long are you going to stand on the tracks with a freight train coming at you?
A love so true I always had in you but acted as if I never knew. Realization came tardily as I searched for false love in failed relationships leaving me wanting and blue. A beautiful daughter was birthed from our initial union with the brightest smile and eyes a most majestic hue. She is the sun of our love’s universe; the light that warms our every day, a lovely reflection of you. While separated an unconditional benevolent love you offered supporting me even when our romance was through. My heart’s lover, mother of my child, educator to my soul and a most giving nurturer too, this is you. But for some reason for far too long I didn’t know who? In who would I find that special love to cherish, where is the lady I was meant to spend eternity with, all the while looking for you outside of you. I once thought there were many, but oh the love worthy are so few. One faithful day a light bulb turned on in my dim mind, I finally got a clue. The love I yearned for I’ve always had, no longer blind, now seeing all that you do. Because there is no love in this world greater than the love you offer me… so grateful for the love that is you.
We thank you Lord for Blessing us with your Son, our Savior.
